Orthopedic medicine focuses on problems and injuries of the bones, joints, tendons, and ligaments. Sports medicine is another aspect of orthopedic care. This field focuses on the prevention and treatment of sports-related injuries, such as concussions, nerve injuries, strains, sprains, and broken bones.
Walk-ins are accepted at the Paris Clinic Monday-Friday from 8-11 am.
Our orthopedics team provides care for patients of all ages and treats a variety of conditions, including arthritis, fractures, strains, and sprains. Our team begins with non-surgical methods and will only recommend surgery when it is deemed absolutely necessary.
For your first orthopedic appointment, the physician or nurse may review your medical history, perform a physical exam, and request imaging tests if necessary. After the diagnosis is made, treatment options will be discussed and a treatment plan is agreed upon between you and the doctor. The orthopedic specialist works closely with your physical therapist when physical therapy is needed. While some conditions may require surgery, the goal is to avoid surgery whenever possible.
A healthcare provider’s referral is not required to make an appointment. However, some insurance companies may require a referral. Be sure to check with your insurance provider to make sure you are covered.
When you’re ready to make an appointment, call us at (217) 466-4714. The orthopedic department is open Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm.
