What will a service cost me?

Cost estimates are currently available for most hospital-based testing and procedures scheduled in advance (see below). This is made possible through partnership with Health Here, a company that evaluates each patient’s individual insurance plan to estimate his/her out-of-pocket responsibility.

Additional services will continue to be added to the system.

• EKGs
• Sleep studies
• Stress tests
• Radiology services
• Surgical procedures (For surgical procedures, a down payment of $750 will secure your discount. An estimator will call you once the charges are listed. The remaining patient responsibility is expected to be paid in full within 30 days of bill date). Credits will be issued as necessary.

Please note that cost estimates are not available for pain management procedures.

What discounts are available?

With this estimation program, Horizon Health offers financial discounts up to 30 percent.

• A 30 percent discount is applied to the patient’s portion of the fee if paid prior to, or the day of, the service.
• A 15 percent discount is applied to the patient’s portion of the fee if paid within 30 days of the invoice date.

Note that this new service will modify the registration process. Patient Services staff will now ask for co-pays, past balances, and projected patient responsibility amounts at the time of scheduling and/or time of service.
