Horizon Health offers classes for the general public, as well as healthcare professionals.

Safe Sitter is a nationally recognized class that provides babysitters with basic safe child care techniques so they are prepared to act in a crisis. The class provides tips on safety and security precautions, facts about child development and age-appropriate activities, and explains the business aspects of babysitting.
The cost covers materials and lunch. No parent is required to be present except for picking up and dropping off the child. Register early as class size is limited.

This free non-healthcare provider course teaches basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED), which is used in cases of life-threatening cardiac events. This course does not include first aid, which can be arranged separately. Note that a credit or debit card is required when registering to reserve a class seat. Classes are held at the Education Center.
Who should take this course?
Anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion
card to meet job, regulatory, or other requirements.

Participants will earn certification as a first responder. Internet access is required, as this is a hybrid course. CPR and BLS certifications are included in the course. Registration is open to anyone age 16 and older. Cost is $300.

emergency response personnel who have previously been certified in ACLS
(this is a renewal course).
