Horizon Health Announces Plans in Clark County

Includes new primary care clinic

Horizon Health is increasing its presence in Clark County, Illinois, announcing plans for two healthcare facilities, one of which will house a new family medicine clinic.

"The Clark County community has supported us over the years, and we want to continue to be the preferred healthcare provider for them," said Ollie Smith, Horizon Health president and CEO. "That means delivering the services they need and have asked for."

Willowbrook

Horizon Health has purchased the memory care/assisted living facility at 1002 North 2nd Street in Marshall. The building will retain the name Willowbrook with oversight provided by Horizon Health. The location houses up to 14 residents.

"Willowbrook expressed interest in us taking ownership and managing the property,” said Kym Pfrank, Horizon Health vice president of strategic planning & hospital operations. “Normal operations will continue. We expect the transition to be seamless with no disruptions to residents, staff, or services.”

Primary Care Clinic

The vacant building next to Willowbrook – which once housed additional residents – will be repurposed, with an anticipated opening in early 2025. It will house a new primary care clinic, EZ Care walk-in clinic, and X-ray services. EZ Care will move into the building from its current location at Illinois Highway 1and US 40. Plans for the existing EZ Care location have not been determined.

“We have explored opening a primary care clinic in Marshall for quite some time,” said Lacey Stults, Horizon Health vice president of clinic operations.

This will bring Horizon Health’s Clark County locations to four:

  • Willowbrook – 1002 North 2nd Street (Building A)
  • Marshall Clinic – 1002 North 2nd Street (Building B)
  • Current EZ Care clinic – 1602 North Illinois Highway 1
  • Marshall Specialty Clinic – 1006 South 6th Street (Pain management services provided by Adam Schneider, APRN, CRNA, NSPM-C, DNP, and Kristin Mooneyham, APRN, FNP)
