Horizon Health Welcomes New Provider at Occupational Health Clinic

Leslie Brown brings 25 years of nursing experience
Leslie Brown, known for her years as a specialized wound care nurse, now sees patients in Horizon Health's Occupational Health Clinic.
Leslie recently earned her license as a certified family nurse practitioner. She joins Sara Spesard, family nurse practitioner and Occupational Health Clinic manager, as the clinic's two full-time providers.
"I really wanted to challenge myself and do something different,” Leslie said. “It’s been a good fit for me and the staff is amazing.”
The Occupational Health Clinic provides a variety of healthcare services for area business partners and Horizon Health employees. Services include pre-employment physicals, post-injury care, drug/alcohol testing, auditory testing, and much more.
Additionally, Sara and Leslie are nationally registered as certified medical examiners who conduct physicals for drivers who hold a CDL license.
The Occupational Health Clinic recently moved from the Horizon Health main campus to the Jasper Street Annex building (former Verona Mall) in Paris.
Leslie joined Horizon Health in 1996, and was recently honored for 25 years of service. As a registered nurse she worked in the medical/surgical department, surgery department, and Paris Clinic. She established the first wound care clinic in the Wabash Valley in 2006 and served as the clinic’s manager for 12 years. She continues to be diabetic wound care certified.
Leslie has a master’s degree in nursing from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College. She has a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Indiana Wesleyan University. She has an associate’s degree in nursing and surgical technology from Vincennes University.
Leslie was born and raised in Washington, Indiana. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, reading, exercising, and watching sports. She and her husband, Vernon, live in Marshall, Illinois, and have three children.
