Donations being accepted to serve more in need
Horizon Health is expanding its free Foot Care Clinic to assist more individuals who need access to routine healthcare.
In recognition of Holy Thursday, the event will take place April 14 at the High Rise apartments in Paris. The event is for residents of the High Rise and Highland Court. However, the general public is welcome to attend without an appointment from 11 am to noon. Walk-ins will be accepted for both adults and children.
Drs. Brittany Wojnicki and Philip Holloway, podiatrists, will be washing feet, trimming nails, and making referrals for further care, if needed. Each participant will receive a new pair of shoes and socks.
Last year, Drs. Wojnicki and Holloway provided free foot care to nearly 40 residents of the High Rise.
“This year’s goal is to serve many more people and include the community as a whole,” said Dr. Wojnicki.
Horizon Health is accepting financial donations, as well as donations of shoes and socks, as it looks to serve more participants this year.
To make a financial donation, visit MyHorizonHealthFoundation.org. Or mail a check payable to Horizon Health Foundation, 721 East Court Street, Paris, IL 61944. Please indicate the Foot Care Clinic in your memo. For more information call Randi Bohannon, executive director, at 217-465-1234.
