On the Move at Horizon Health--June 2021

Horizon Health recognizes the following employees for their recent achievements:

Darcie Mathews, RN, has been promoted to director of inpatient services. She oversees the medical/surgical unit, special care unit, case management, and house supervisors.

Deborah Story, RN, replaces Darcie Mathews as medical/surgical manager. Deborah has worked in several hospital departments, including compliance, medical/surgical unit, infusion clinic, and the emergency department.

Kim Sweitzer, RN, BS, has been promoted to director of surgical services. Kim oversees all surgical areas. These include perioperative patient care areas, preadmission testing, ambulatory surgery, surgery, surgery scheduling, recovery room, anesthesia, gastroenterology, sterile processing, central supply storeroom, and pain management.

Heather Crippes, BSN, RN, replaces Kim Sweitzer as surgery manager. Heather has worked in the surgery department for more than 15 years.

Samantha McCarty, BSN, RN, has been promoted to emergency services director. Samantha oversees the emergency department, emergency medical services, transporters, safety operations, and the Mobile Integrated Healthcare service.

Kali Fuqua, MSN, BSN, RN, replaces Samantha McCarty as emergency department manager. Kali has worked in several hospital departments, including informatics, quality, and the emergency department.
