Sycamore Pain & Wellness opens in Terre Haute
Horizon Health has partnered with the Wabash Valley’s premier pain management group led by Dr. Thomas Pendergast.
In addition to pain management, the group provides bone health and wellness services, behavioral health, psychiatry, and weight management. The group will now be known as Sycamore Pain & Wellness, a service of Horizon Health. The team will begin seeing patients December 15 in its new Terre Haute location at 1378 S. State Road 46. The building is the former site of Harrison College on the city’s east side.
“Their approach to healthcare is very similar to ours,” said Ollie Smith, Horizon Health president & CEO. “Like us, they believe in providing comprehensive care. They care for the entire person with customized treatments that address each patient’s specific healthcare needs.”
Dr. Thomas Pendergast is a well-known Terre Haute native who began his pain management practice 14 years ago. Since then, he has recruited a team of specialized providers: Chantelle Allen, APRN, FNP; Ashley Delaunois, APRN, PMHNP; Dax Duncan, APRN, FNP; Lauren Necesario Smith, PsyD, HSPP; Kacy Jo Rogers, APRN, FNP, CNPM; and Robin Smiddy, APRN, FNP.
“Our comprehensive, holistic approach to pain management and behavioral health sets us apart,” Dr. Pendergast said. “It gives our patients the best opportunity for successful treatment. So often those aspects of pain are unrecognized… mood disorders, anxiety, depression, etc., really impact effectiveness of a treatment plan.”
Sycamore Pain & Wellness is open Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm (Eastern time). No referral is needed for these services, with the exception of behavioral health. For more information, call 812-877-3310 or visit MyHorizonHealth.org.
