Digestive Health Services Available at Horizon Health

Horizon Health is continuing its commitment to provide digestive health services to the communities it serves, by making a gastroenterology (GI) specialist available.

Alicia Sledge, board certified family nurse practitioner, has joined Horizon Health as a visiting provider who specializes in gastroenterology. She is affiliated with Carle, which has a long-standing partnership with Horizon Health to provide GI and other specialty services. Alicia works with Horizon Health general surgeons Yaniv Cozacov, MD, and Jihui Li, MD, to coordinate care for patients who have GI-related conditions.

Alicia treats patients age 18 and older. She provides advanced care for a variety of conditions, including celiac disease, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), gallbladder, liver and pancreatic diseases, and heartburn (gastroesophageal reflux).

Alicia earned a master’s degree in nursing at Saint Francis Medical Center College of Nursing in Peoria, and a bachelor’s degree in nursing at Lakeview College of Nursing in Charleston.
