Horizon Health Adds Providers in Family Medicine, Endocrinology

Horizon Health announces the addition of two nurse practitioners who will help support existing practices in the Paris Clinic.
Kayla Ogle, APRN, FNP, joins Dr. Lauren Fore, family medicine, in providing primary care services to patients of all ages. Dr. Fore serves as Kayla’s collaborative physician. Together, they treat patients within Dr. Fore’s practice.
Kayla’s background includes family medicine, infusion clinic operations, and long-term residential care. She also has extensive experience in gastroenterology. She has a master’s degree in nursing from Chamberlain College of Nursing in Downers Gove, Ill, and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Indiana Wesleyan University. Kayla is a resident of Marshall.
Karen Smith, APRN, FNP, joins Dr. Edward Rico, endocrinology, in managing the care of patients with diabetes, thyroid issues, and other hormonal disorders. Dr. Rico serves as Karen’s collaborative physician. Together, they treat patients within Dr. Rico’s practice.
Karen worked many years as a nurse practitioner in Indiana. Her background includes diabetes management, child and adult wellness exams, and the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic health conditions. She has a master’s degree in nursing from Indiana State University, and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Indiana University Southeast. Karen is a resident of Terre Haute.
Other recent additions to Horizon Health include:
Amanda Talamantes, APRN, FNP. As a family nurse practitioner, Amanda provides healthcare services to residents at Twin Lakes Rehab & Health Care, Paris; Paris Healthcare Center, Paris; Pleasant Meadows Senior Living, Chrisman; and Newman Rehabilitation & Health Care Center, Newman. Amanda joins Dr. Manish Gorasiya and Ann Bogue, APRN, FNP, who also provide nursing home care on behalf of Horizon Health.
Scott Williamson, CRNA, APRN. Scott is a certified registered nurse anesthetist with specialty training in pain management. Scott joined Horizon Health in 2008. He recently returned to the organization after a brief absence.
