PCH/FMC Announces New Chief Nursing Officer

Tiffany Turner has been named vice president of nursing and chief nursing officer at Paris Community Hospital/Family Medical Center.

Turner is a registered nurse and family nurse practitioner. She has worked as a dedicated provider in the hospital’s Occupational Health Clinic since 2014. She also served as the clinic’s manager, working closely with area employers to provide a full range of occupational health services.

Turner is replacing Susan Livvix, MSN, who served as PCH/FMC’s vice president of nursing and chief nursing officer for eight years. During this transition period, Livvix is leading the hospital’s risk management program. Livvix will retire from PCH/FMC in July. She joined PCH/FMC in 1999 as the emergency department manager. She also worked in infection control and occupational health.

“It’s been my life-long goal to become a chief nursing officer,” Turner said. “It happened to come at the right time and at the right place.”

In her new position, Turner said she will help develop policies, increase staff education, drive quality care, and help the organization grow.

“Our facility is strong,” she said. “One of my goals is to keep patients in the community rather than them going to other facilities.”

Turner has 25 years of nursing experience. Her background includes occupational medicine, family practice medicine, and emergency medicine. Turner obtained her bachelor’s degree in nursing at Indiana State University. She earned her master’s degree in nursing at Indiana Wesleyan University.

Turner and her husband, Shawn, have two children: Austin, 19, and Nicholas, 14.
