Paris Community Hospital’s Clinic Manager Eunice Chaney recently was presented with the 2017 Rural Health Administrator of the Year Award from the Illinois Rural Health Association (IRHA). The award was presented in conjunction with their Annual Educational Conference held in Champaign.
“The complexities and federal regulations involved in managing rural health clinics are extremely difficult to navigate, and Eunice has been very proactive in the IRHA promoting educational opportunities to help others understand these processes better,” explained Margaret Vaughn, IRHA executive director.
Paris Community Hospital/Family Medical Center (PCH/FMC) President & CEO Oliver Smith, who spoke at the presentation, said: “I’m very proud of Eunice. We are fortunate to have her leadership as the manager of our clinics. She is truly deserving of this award.”
Chaney added: “I am very honored, but believe a leader is only as good as those around her. I come to work knowing we have a great team that is going to make a difference. I could not have accomplished this without the support of family, friends, and this community. I am proud to serve the residents of Edgar County through Paris Community Hospital/Family Medical Center and give back to the communities that helped me get where I am today.”
