Beginning January 1, Paris Community Hospital/Family Medical Center will be a tobacco-free campus.
The tobacco-free policy will apply to all PCH/FMC locations – Paris Community Hospital, Senior Care, EZ Care, and Family Medical Centers in Paris, Chrisman, and Oakland. The policy will apply to all patients, visitors, and staff.
“As a healthcare institution, we advocate good health and wellness,” said Oliver Smith, PCH/FMC president and CEO. “Many healthcare facilities, as well as other businesses in Illinois and throughout the nation, have adopted similar policies as a means to protect the health and safety of everyone involved.”
PCH/FMC’s tobacco-free policy applies to smoking, vaping, and all forms of smokeless tobacco in buildings, parking lots, and all other hospital grounds.
